Open Auditions for Festival Ballet Theatre’s “Nutcracker” this Saturday

Orange County’s resident professional ballet company, Festival Ballet Theatre, will hold open auditions this Saturday, Sept. 3 for its December performances of “The Nutcracker,” a full-length ballet set to Tchaikovsky’s score and starring a cast of hundreds, including internationally acclaimed guest artists from The Joffrey Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, New York City Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre. Performances will take place December 10–24, 2016 at the Irvine Barclay Theatre.

Auditions will take place at Southland Ballet Academy’s Fountain Valley studio, 9527 Garfield Avenue.

Audition times are as follows:

- Ages 7 - 9: 9:30–10:30a.m.

- Ages 10 - 12: 9–10:30 a.m.

- Ages 10 and up, pointe work required: 9:00–10:30a.m.

- Ages 13 and up, pointe work required: 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
