Orange County Newborns to Go Red in the Month of May

Orange County Newborns to Go Red in the Month of May

ORANGE COUNTY, CA. – The Orange County American Heart Association and a local caused-based clothing company, fodada, are teaming up for the Newborns Go Red Campaign to spread awareness of heart healthy futures. All babies born in participating Orange County hospitals during the month of May will receive a red beanie generously donated by fodada. The red beanies make an adorable fashion statement, but also send an important message, encouraging new families to start early with heart healthy habits.

Newborns Go Red encourages parents to create a healthy foundation for their new baby by changing some of their own poor habits and adopting new and healthy ones as a family. In addition to the red beanies, each family receives a “Picture and a Promise” card to fill out as well as a copy of the American Heart Association’s “Life Simple 7” tips for leading healthier lives. Families who “promise” to pick up

one healthy habit from the Life’s Simple 7 list and send a picture of their newborn wearing the red beanie will receive free gear from fodada.
