Riverside Man Charged In Deadly City of Orange Shooting

One man was murdered Friday, and police have arrested a Riverside resident in connection with the crime.

ORANGE, CA — The suspect arrested in last week's deadly shooting in the city of Orange was charged on Tuesday, the Orange County District Attorney's Office said. His arraignment will take place sometime Tuesday, they said.

Riverside resident, 29-year-old Trevor Lee Brockington, is accused of fatally shooting of another man in the parking lot of the Stadium Promenade in Orange on Friday night, May 12, according to the Orange Police Department.

The shooting occurred at the 1500 block of W Katella according to the City of Orange Police Department information officers.

"The victim was transported to an area hospital and pronounced dead," they said. "The suspect fled north on Main in a white truck."

It is unclear at this time if the suspect and victim knew one another.

Orange County Coroner's Office has named Patrick Sanyeah as the man killed in that shooting.

Sanyeah, a 34-year-old with last known residence in Folcroft, Pennsylvania, succumbed to his injuries at the UC Irvine Medical Center, in the city of Orange, the coroner reported.

Brockington was arrested on suspicion of committing murder and evading police, and is scheduled to be arraigned sometime Tuesday on a murder charge, officials said.
