Shotgun Wielding Suspect Barricades Himself In Santa Ana Home
The police blocked roads in the area of Van Ness and Edinger Avenues after a man with "several guns" was waving one at cars and passers-by.

SANTA ANA, CA —On Wednesday, Santa Ana police negotiated with a man who barricaded himself in his home after passers-by reported he was "pointing a shotgun at traffic and pedestrians from his front porch."
Just after 11 a.m., Santa Ana police arrived at the area of Edinger Avenue and Van Ness avenues, Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said. The suspect barricaded himself inside of his home upon the arrival of authorities.
The suspect has many more guns inside the residence, Bertagna said. As of 12:30 p.m. the man has not yet exited from his home, according to officials.

Police issued a SIGALERT for both directions of Edinger Ave between Flower Street and Ross Street, Bertagna reported. Residents were warned to stay out of the area during the incident.
