Southbound I-5 Clearing After Morning Crashes
BREAKING: The incidents were reported in the Santa Ana area.

SANTA ANA, CA – Take care this morning if commuting south on Interstate-5 as several crashes occurred, but the lanes are now clearing and traffic is moving, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One four-vehicle collision on the southbound Santa Ana Freeway in Santa Ana left several people injured and shut down lanes. The crash was reported at 1:55 a.m. at Main Street, the CHP reported.
One person was ejected from one of the vehicles and taken to a hospital and others were treated at the scene, according to reports from the scene. Their conditions were not immediately available.

The CHP shut down all southbound lanes, but by 6 a.m. lanes were reopened.
Another southbound I-5 accident was logged at 5:39 a.m. near Chapman Avenue. The cars involved were moved to the center divider or shoulder shortly after 6 a.m., the CHP said. No information on possible injuries was available.

And as of 6:10 a.m., a vehicle was reportedly blocking a lane on southbound I-5 near the Disneyland Drive offramp. Not further details were immediately available on that incident.
