Strategic College Planning

When Labor Day rolls around, for parents and students thoughts return to school. Parents and students should also be thinking about putting together a college plan. Not only the right schools but also the most efficient way to pay.

If you are serious about your financial future and your child's getting the MOST out of a college commitment, can you honestly say you've done the following:

1.Explored your student's interests, both what they want to study and where it makes sense for them to go?   2.Do you know what is measured on the FAFSA and what is totally ignored?  Do you know what your family's EFC (expected family contribution) will be?  Do you know what can be added to a family's out-of-pocket expense for college above their EFC?

3.Do you know with the proper planning pretty much every family can qualify for some needs based aid?  And our College Planners can help you find it.

4.You would be pleasantly surprised how taking the time to work with a professional can take the sticker shock out of college planning, leave your retirement assets whole, and MOST important, when needed, work with your student to help every step of the way.
