Suspected Bank Robber Nabbed in Fountain Valley
After a short pursuit in Fountain Valley, police believe they caught the man who held up a Newport Beach Bank of America Tuesday.

A 39-year-old Garden Grove man was arrested in Fountain Valley after allegedly holding up a Bank of America in Newport Beach today.
Le Vu Hoan was located using Duke, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department helicopter, near Euclid Street and Talbert Avenue in Fountain Valley after a short pursuit.
The robbery occurred at the Bank of America at 4101 MacArthur Blvd. in Newport Beach at 3:02 p.m.

Personnel at the bank reported that the suspect had entered the bank, approached a teller window and displayed what appeared to be a firearm, according to Jennifer Manzella of the Newport Beach Police Department. He allegedly demanded cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
When the suspect was captured, it was discovered the weapon was an airsoft gun, according to Manzella.
