Thieves Target Fountain Valley Gun Stores
Thieves made off with a stash of guns in two smash and grab burglaries targeting gun stores in the city.

A stash of guns were stolen from a Fountain Valley gun store today for the second time in a week.
Since last week, two gun stores in the city were burglarized overnight, with the thieves making off with a stockpile of weapons.
Fountain Valley Police responded to a burglary alarm at Rifle Gear Firearms in the 18000 block of Mount Shay Street just before 5 a.m. today.

“When officers arrived they discovered a broken window leading to inside the business,” Sgt. Tony Luce said in a written statement.
The thieves had already left after taking a number of weapons.

A similar burglary took place on Saturday.
“Store employees arrived on scene and discovered a broken window leading to inside the business,” said Luce. “An unknown number of firearms were stolen from inside the store. The suspects left the location without being detected.”
