Watch 'Wizard of Oz' on the Beach, Dressed as Your Favorite Character
It's the 75th anniversary of the iconic -- the adjective IS appropriate here -- film.

From a press release:
Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina is celebrating the 75th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz by presenting the film as part of its free Movies on the Beach series at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26.
In addition, guests are encouraged to dress as one of the characters and prizes will be awarded to the top three finalists including free Sunday brunch and dinner for four at the Back Bay Bistro and a top prize of a gourmet dinner/sunset cruise aboard one of the resort’s Duffy boats prepared by the Bistro’s new Executive Chef Bruno Massuger.

”The Wizard of Oz is one of the most iconic films of all time and the perfect form of family entertainment,” said Andrew Theodorou, the Dunes’ vice president and general manager. “What better way of celebrating its milestone 75th anniversary than by inviting families to actually be a part of the experience by joining in the sing-a-long and dressing up as their favorite characters.”
Massuger recently took the helm at the Back Bay Bistro, a contemporary 199-seat dining establishment featuring a number of innovative design elements including a sophisticated retractable awning giving the restaurant a “convertible roof.”
