When Does School Start in Fountain Valley?

Students at local schools return to classrooms next month.

It’s summertime and there's still plenty of time to enjoy sunbathing and family vacations.

But before you know it, back-to-school season will begin and children will head to the store, parents in tow, to snatch up school supplies and the latest fashions.

Public schools in Fountain Valley are located within the Fountain Valley School District, as well as the Ocean View, Huntington Beach City and Garden Grove school districts. This year the first day of school is Wednesday, Sept. 5, except in the Garden Grove School District, which is Thursday, Sept. 6.
