Woman Killed In Fountain Valley Hit-And-Run Identified

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA -- A 30-year-old woman whose body was found near an intersection in Fountain Valley was identified Friday by the Orange County coroner's office.

The body of Patrice Damian Peters was found at 12:14 a.m. Monday at Warner Avenue west of Bushard Street, the coroner's office said.

Peters, a pedestrian, was apparently hit by a motorist who fled the scene, Fountain Valley police Sgt. J. Pratt said.

Investigators planned to view surveillance video in the area in the search for leads, she said.
