10 Fremont Students Win University Sponsored Nat'l Merit Scholarships
The students will receive between $500 and $2,000 yearly for up to four years. See the list!
FREMONT, CA — The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the names of college and university sponsored scholarship winners for 2023, including 10 students from Fremont. They are among 3,000 winners nationwide who will receive scholarships from their chosen college or university.
Here is a list of the Fremont winners:
- Vikram Balaji — Probable career field: Software Engineering, Irvington High School, Texas A&M University
- Pranjal Bhartia — Probable career field: Computer Science, Irvington High School, Emory University
- Pratham Ved Bhashyakarla — Probable career field: Medicine, Mission San Jose High School, Case Western Reserve University
- Urvi Bhuwania — Probable career field: Computer Science, American High School, University of Southern California
- Ashwin M. Hariharan — Probable career field: Medicine, American High School, University of Southern California
- Diana He — Probable career field: Computer Science, Washington High School, Purdue University
- Bhuvi Kedia — Probable career field: Healthcare, American High School, University of Southern California
- Pranav R. Putta — Probable career field: Computer Engineering, American High School, Purdue University

This is the third round of National Merit Scholarship winners announced for 2023 — the previous winners received corporate sponsored awards and $2,500 National Merit Scholarships.
