2 Bay Area Hospitals Cited For Policy, Procedure Violations
The CDPH requires all hospitals in California to be in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

BAY AREA, CA -- Two Bay Area hospitals were issued penalties and fines for not following established policies and procedures in the treatment of a patient, the California Department of Public Health announced Friday.
Contra Costa Regional Medical Center in Martinez and Fremont Hospital in Fremont were both cited. Contra Costa was fined a $33,000 administrative penalty for a 2017 policy violation, and Fremont was fined
$75,000 for a 2016 incident.
Both hospitals were contacted for comment but did not immediately respond.
