2 Fremont Businesses Damaged By Fire

A third unoccupied restaurant space was also damaged.

FREMONT, CA — A Wednesday morning fire damaged two businesses and an empty restaurant space in the Mission Valley Shopping Center on Mission Boulevard in Fremont.

The fire started around 9 a.m. in the walls shared by Pasha Mediterranean restaurant at 39935 Mission Blvd., neighboring Pasha Hookah Lounge and an unoccupied restaurant space, Fremont Fire Department officials said.

When fire crews arrived, the source of the smoke pouring from the roof wasn't immediately apparent so firefighters had to enter all three units, where the fire was discovered in the shared walls.

The blaze was extinguished in under 30 minutes but not before doing a moderate amount of damage and leading to the red-tagging of the businesses, fire officials said.

No employees were in the units at the time of the fire, the casue of which is under investigation.
No injuries were reported and no other businesses in the shopping center were damaged.
