3 Hospitalized Following I-680 Crash
The crash involving a box truck and 3 other vehicles.

FREMONT, CA — One person suffered major injuries and two suffered moderate injuries in a crash on Interstate Highway 680 in Fremont Monday, California Highway Patrol officials said. All three victims were taken to the hospital.
Two victims were trapped in vehicles and had to be rescued by the fire department.
The crash involved a box truck and three other vehicles. It was reported at 12:04 p.m. by a member of the Yolo County Sheriff's Office who happened to witness the crash. For a short time, all lanes were blocked because of debris. The situation quickly improved to just the numbers one and two lanes, plus the HOV lane. The HOV was the last to open, shortly before 3 p.m.

The location of the crash was south of Mission Boulevard.
The CHP has not announced the cause of the crash.
