4-Vehicle Crash On I-880 In Fremont
One of the vehicles landed in a ditch off the side of the road.

FREMONT, CA — A four-vehicle crash on Interstate Highway 880 in Fremont briefly blocked most southbound lanes, but the wreckage was quickly cleared in about 20 minutes. One vehicle ended up in a ditch.
The California Highway Patrol decided against a sig-alert because the lanes were cleared so quickly. However, traffic is still slow in the area as those vehicles are being towed from the shoulder.
The crash was reported at 10:30 a.m. Thursday near the Dixon Landing off ramp.
