Alameda County Coronavirus Cases Rise Again: 35
Tesla made an announcement about compliance with the county's health order.
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — A steady rise in new coronavirus, or COVID-19, cases in Alameda County continued on Thursday, with 35 confirmed infections here, according to the Alameda County Public Health Department. On Wednesday it was 31.
There are still no coronavirus-linked deaths in Alameda County.
In neighboring Santa Clara County, the death toll held at 6 with no new fatalities reported in the past 24 hours.

In Contra Costa County, just one new case was reported, with a total caseload there of 42.
If you need to go out for groceries, many supermarket chains have set up special hours for those over 60, considered at higher risk, and for those with underlying health conditions. Hours that the stores close have also been adjusted to allow for more cleaning time.

A shelter in place order remains in effect for Alameda County, while the remaining Bay Area counties that did not initially join the lockdown are all now participating.
The Tesla assembly factory in Fremont will shut down entirely, a move that had been fought by company founder Elon Musk, who on March 6 tweeted, "The coronavirus panic is dumb."
Fremont Police Chief Kimberly Petersen and members of the city's management team scheduled a meeting Thursday with Tesla management to discuss cooperation with the County Health Officer’s Order.
