Alleged Bank Robber Arrested in Fremont
Police say the suspect robbed the bank at knife point.

FREMONT, CA — A 44-year-old Berkeley man was arrested in Fremont Wednesday after he allegedly robbed a bank at knife point, according to police.
Officers responded to a US Bank on Fremont Boulevard on reports of a robbery, but the suspect fled prior to officers arriving.
Employees were able to give the police a description of the man and officers located him a short time later at a nearby Food Maxx grocery store.

Police said he was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery. Through an investigation officers were able to locate the knife used in the alleged robbery at a nearby liquor store as well as the stolen money.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Gebhardt.
