Affordable housing project rises from SiliconSage wreckage in Fremont (therealdeal.com) — Nearly 300 new affordable apartments with ground-floor shops are planned for Fremont’s Centerville neighborhood, replacing a long-stalled SiliconSage Builders site. With land assembled and financing close, construction on the first 140-unit phase of Centerville Plaza Apartments could start as soon as June, adding much-needed housing and retail along Fremont Boulevard and nearby streets.
