Man Stabbed In Neck At Fremont Party, Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder: DA

FREMONT, CA — A man was charged Tuesday in connection with the stabbing of another man at a party in Fremont over the weekend, authorities said.

Taylor Maxfield Clausen, 38, faces charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and personal use of a knife stemming from the attack on Saturday. Prosecutors did not provide a city of residence.

Alameda County prosecutors say Clausen stabbed a man in the neck at a party in Fremont. It's unclear whether the suspect and the victim knew each other before the attack.

The Alameda County District Attorney's Office did not provide a motive for the attack, but said the victim survived the attack after being taken to a hospital and receiving emergency medical treatment.

Clausen is due in court on Wednesday for arraignment, prosecutors said.
