FREMONT, CA — With summer steadily coming to an end, two things are certain: the foliage will turn brown and fall from trees, and Fremont will be hosting movie nights under the stars.
Movie Under the Stars is a free event where community members are invited to watch select films outdoors after sunset.
This year's event kicks off with "Hoppers" on Friday, Aug. 28. The animated film follows an animal-loving college student who transfers her consciousness to a robotic beaver, helping her communicate directly with other animals.
"How To Train Your Dragon," on Sept. 18, and "Finding Nemo" on Oct. 2 will follow.
People attending the event should bring some blankets and low beach chairs, city officials said. Seating is first-come, first-served.
It is encouraged to bring snacks or a picnic dinner as no food trucks will be at the event.
Central Park is located at 40000 Paseo Padre Parkway.
