Investigators say no other vehicle appears involved, and a possible medical emergency could not be confirmed, so the incident is being treated as a fatal traffic collision. Anyone who saw the August 25 crash is urged to contact Fremont police.
2. 60-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed In Fremont Crash: Police (patch.com) — A 60-year-old pedestrian died after being struck early Monday on Stevenson Boulevard in Fremont, and police say the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating. Investigators do not currently suspect impairment, but the cause remains unclear, and this is Fremont's eighth traffic death this year. Officers are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the department.
3. League of Women Voters holds forums (tricityvoice.com) — Fremont voters can attend League of Women Voters forums at Niles Discovery Church, starting with a September 12 session on the Alameda County Elections Commission and voter resources. Another October 17 event will unpack state and local ballot measures, with additional candidate forums planned throughout October to help residents make informed choices.
