• San Leandro, Fremont, Livermore getting new Chipotle restaurants (fresnobee.com) — Fremont residents can look forward to a new Chipotle opening later this year at Mission and Warm Springs boulevards, replacing a former Taco Bell and adding a drive-thru Chipotlane for digital orders. The expansion is part of five new Bay Area locations, including new restaurants in Livermore, Antioch, San Leandro, and San Francisco.
   

• Fremont, Union City scrap $2.6 million ProPhoenix police dispatch system (eastbaytimes.com) — Fremont has scrapped a new $2.6 million ProPhoenix computer-aided dispatch system after serious glitches during police calls, reverting to its older Tiburon software to protect public safety. City officials say 911 calls and radio traffic were never affected, but they're now in talks with the vendor and have not said whether they'll seek refunds, even as other cities nationwide report similar problems.
   

• High school football 2026: Week 3 scores, Saturday's schedule (eastbaytimes.com) — Fremont football fans get a quick snapshot of Week 3, including Kennedy-Fremont's 13-0 loss to San Rafael and Washington-Fremont's road matchup at Dougherty Valley. The roundup lists dozens of Bay Area scores and kickoff times, helping local families track rivals and plan their Friday and Saturday game outings.
