FREMONT, CA — A major crash between a motorhome and a big rig shut down the southbound I-680 Freeway in Fremont early Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Major delays impacted drivers traveling through I-680 in Fremont early Wednesday morning after a big rig and motorhome crashed, authorities said.
The cause of the crash remains unclear. It happened around 12:30 a.m. along the southbound I-680 Freeway at Auto Mall Parkway, according to the Dublin California Highway Patrol.
The impact ripped apart the motorhome and overturned the big rig's trailer, authorities said. CHP did not say if anyone was injured in the crash.

It took five hours to reopen all lanes, CHP said.
