Hearing Loud Noises In Fremont This Week? This Could Be Why

Community members may see a law enforcement or fire department personnel increase in these areas on Friday.

| Updated

FREMONT, CA — Hearing random loud noises or seeing smoke across Fremont? It may be the Fremont Police Department conducting training.

Police say they're conducting training this week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Coyote Hills Regional Park and Stratford School in Fremont.

One training took place Monday, and a second is coming Friday, with the Fremont Police Department warning community members they may see more law enforcement or fire department personnel in these areas.

"As part of the exercise, there may also be loud noises, simulated tactical operations, and the use of training smoke," police said. "This is a planned training event, and there is no threat to public safety. "
