Armed Robbery Leaves Victim Hospitalized
Police say the suspect was armed with a handgun.

FREMONT, CA — Police in Fremont are investigating a robbery that left a man hospitalized last Tuesday.
Officers with the Fremont Police Department responded Tuesday at 9:55 p.m. to the area of Alder Avenue and Bosworth Court after receiving a call from a man in distress.
The victim, who was injured and bleeding, told police he was assaulted by another man who had approached the victim for money.

The victim was transported to a trauma center with major injuries and remained hospitalized Friday with injuries that were not life threatening, police said.
Police described the suspect as a shorter Hispanic man in his 30s or 40s. He was wearing a gray shirt, and he was armed with a handgun.
