Bomb Threat At Fremont Medical Office Prompts Evacuation: Police

A doctor told police someone previously "swatted" the office, a false report of a violent event that can trigger a heavy police response.

FREMONT, CA — Police say they're investigating a fake bomb threat made at a medical office in Fremont earlier this month.

It's unclear who made the alleged threat. A doctor on Thursday, Oct. 15, told officers that someone had "swatted" the office multiple times recently, according to the Fremont Police Department.

In this case, whoever made the call claimed they had explosives and two firearms, police said.
