Burglars Targeting Homes in Fremont's Ardenwood Neighborhood
Investigators say two homes were broken into on the same day.

Police are investigating two residential robberies that occurred not far from each other Thursday in Fremont’s Ardenwood neighborhood.
At 9:39 p.m., police were first dispatched to the 5400 block of Ridgewood Drive for a report of a burglary, according to police. There, officers discovered the suspect entered the home by shattering a large window on the first floor of the home with an unknown object.
Officers determined the burglary occurred sometime between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., police said.

At 10 p.m., police were then dispatched to a second burglary report nearby, in the 4700 block of Mendocino Terrace, according to police.
Police said the suspect entered the home by shattering a rear sliding glass door, possibly with a river rock.

Officers determined this burglary occurred sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 9:50 p.m., police said.
Police did not release a description of the suspects in either incident.
