Canada's Largest Asian Grocery Chain Is Building A Massive Store In The East Bay
The store is expected to open next year.

NEWARK, CA — A popular Canadian supermarket continues to grow in California, this time opening its biggest store yet in the East Bay.
T&T Supermarket, Canada's largest Asian grocery chain, will open a 72,600-square-foot store at the former Macy's anchor space in Newark. The store is expected to open by winter 2027.
"The Newark location will bring T&T’s signature shop-and-dine experience to the East Bay, combining a full-service Asian grocery store with prepared foods, bakery offerings, and specialty products from across Asia," T&T Supermarket officials said. "Customers can expect freshly baked breads and pastries, restaurant-quality prepared foods, live seafood, Asian beauty products, and hundreds of T&T private-label items."
