Child Molestation Suspect Arrest: California School For The Deaf

The CHP is asking people to share this information widely so that more potential victims can be identified.

FREMONT, CA — A counselor at the California School for the Deaf in Fremont has been arrested for alleged child molestation, and investigators believe there may be more victims. Ricardo Tafolla Rose, 56, was taken into custody last Friday on charges of child molestation and making criminal threats.

The California School for the Deaf educates children from all over Northern California. Right now, one alleged victim has been identified. The CHP, the investigating agency in the case, is asking residents to share this story widely in an attempt to identify more possible victims. Rose has been employed by the state of California since 1989, nearly 30 years, so there could be victims dating back decades.

Rose is currently on paid administrative leave pending further investigation.
