Companies Open Doors to MVROP Students for Manufacturing Day 2018
MVROP students visit local advanced manufacturing companies demonstrating how CTE can shape their future career success.

FREMONT, CA- Manufacturing Day® is a national celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers, which occurs on the first Friday in October. Thanks to the unique business partnership between the City of Fremont and Mission Valley ROP, the annual collaboration enticing various industry leaders to open their doors and welcome students, teachers, and other community members, once again made a positive impression on MVROP students Friday, October 5. The day as a whole focused on the importance of advanced manufacturing and its direct connection with Career Technical Education (CTE). AnaSpec, Inc. and Lam Research embraced Mission Valley ROP student curiosity through facility tours, panel discussions, and presentations.
Happy with the success from the latest round of tours Superintendent Hanson stated, "For several years students and teachers have participated in Manufacturing Day tours to local regional businesses. It has been very rewarding for our students to actually see examples of manufacturing firms and what they do right here in Fremont. Students see that they can learn these skills and work here where they grew up in many cases."
Mission Valley ROP commends these valued community partners for their impact on student learning today. It is only through instrumental partnerships such as these that students can fully comprehend the vast opportunities available to them.
