Crashes On I-680 Hamper Traffic

FREMONT, CA — Two separate crashes are hampering traffic on southbound I-680 this morning. The latest is in the HOV lane, which is currently blocked. The crash is in the area of Sheridan in unincorporated Alameda County. That crash happened at 7:08 a.m.

A two vehicle crash on Interstate Highway 680 in Fremont blocked one lane for about 10 minutes, just before 7 a.m. The crash has now been moved onto the shoulder of the road, but traffic is still backed up as a result of the accident. The incident is located near Washington Boulevard.

Traffic is so bad that crews are delayed in reaching the scene.
