Mission Boulevard Reopens Sooner Than Expected: Police

FREMONT, CA —

Update:

Mission Boulevard is now fully reopened. It was cleared sooner than expected.

Earlier:

Both directions of Mission Boulevard at Palms Avenue in Fremont are closed to traffic because of downed electrical wires on the road, according to the Fremont Police Department.

The full closure is expected to last for at least 3 hours, followed by at least another 5 hours of partial road closure.

PG&E and Fremont Fire Department personnel are at the scene to assess the situation.

For school pick-ups at Mission San Jose High School:

  • For the next several hours, approach the high school on Palms Avenue from the west. Do not use Mission Boulevard.
