Free Bike Helmets For Kids Saturday In Fremont

FREMONT, CA — A free Community Safety Event will be held in Fremont this Saturday. It will include a car seat installation check, and a Bicycle Safety Rodeo for kids with free bicycle skill training, bike repairs and free helmets kids can personalize. The helmet giveaway is "while supplies last." No registration is required for the bicycle rodeo.

If you would like to have child safety seats inspected for proper installation, an appointment is recommended. Call 510-790-6770 to get on the schedule.

The Community Safety Event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fremont Police Department overflow parking lot, which is between the Police Department and the Fremont Main Library.

This event is co-sponsored by Alameda County Emergency Medical Services, Safe Kids of Alameda County, AAA, the County of Alameda and the Fremont Police Department. The Bicycle Safety Rodeo is sponsored by Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty.
