Fremont Armed Robbery Victim Suffers Injured Hand

BREAKING: Police say there were two robbers including one armed with a knife.

FREMONT, CA — A man was injured during an armed robbery in Fremont Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

The robbery occurred at 12 p.m. on Nicolet Avenue between Fremont Boulevard and Ashton Place, police said.

The victim was approached by two men; one of them asked for a cigarette and the other then brandished a knife, demanding money and jewelry.

The suspects fled the scene in an older van with rusted, faded paint. Police said it may have been a Dodge.

The victim tried to grab the van's door as the suspects fled, resulting in a minor injury to his hand.

The suspect with the knife was described as a white man in his mid 30s with dirty, greasy hair and an unkempt appearance. The other suspect, who asked for a cigarette, was described only as a black man in his mid 30s.
