FREMONT, CA – Fremont-based artist Bhavna Misra is among 10 contenders vying to have their artwork displayed in 100 Muni Art buses in San Francisco, with five winners to be chosen from the voting public, according to San Francisco Beautiful and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.
Misra said her proposed art series would focus on a "The Circle of Compassion" theme, using techniques of realism and abstraction and carefully chosen color schemes, and featuring human faces and figures, nature and wildlife showing their interdependence.
The artwork will be placed in the buses in January 2019, and the online voting ends Aug. 31.
