Fremont Bicyclist Busted For Alleged DUI

Police say the man was already on probation.

FREMONT, CA —A 48-year-old man was arrested Thursday in Fremont after allegedly riding a bike under the influence and resisting arrest, according to police.

Police said an officer on patrol stopped the man on his bike near Peralta Boulevard and Camden Street.

According to police, the man was on probation and about to be searched by officers when he fled on foot.

During the quarter mile chase, the suspect allegedly dumped cocaine out before finally being chased down by officers, police said.

The man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence and resisting arrest.
