Fremont Bicyclist Killed In Crash With Semi-Trailer Truck
The crash occurred about 12:18 p.m. in the 44000 block of Osgood Road, police said. The bicyclist died at the scene.
FREMONT, CA — A bicyclist died in a collision with a semi-trailer truck near Auto Mall Parkway and Osgood Road in Fremont, police said Saturday.
The crash occurred about 12:18 p.m. in the 44000 block of Osgood Road, police said. The bicyclist died at the scene.
The semi-truck was northbound on Osgood Road and stopped in the two-way center left turn lane to prepare for a turn into a business parking lot, police said.

The bicyclist was southbound on the west side of Osgood Road, police said. As the truck began to turn into the driveway, the bicyclist impacted the driver's side of truck.
The cause of the collision was under investigation. Drug or alcohol impairment was not suspected to be a contributing factor, police said.

The truck driver remained at the scene and fully cooperated with the investigation, police said. The collision was Fremont's first traffic fatality in 2026.
