Fremont Business Damaged In Fire

The damage was contained to the exterior of the store at 38003 Mission Blvd.

FREMONT, CA -- A two-alarm fire at a 7-Eleven convenience store early Sunday morning was quickly extinguished and is being investigated as suspicious, a Fremont battalion chief said.

The damage was contained to the exterior of the store at 38003 Mission Blvd., and the 7-Eleven remains open for business, battalion chief Chris Harper said.

Seven engines and one ladder truck responded to the fire at 3:36 a.m., and it was brought under control within 20 minutes. There were no injuries.

The fire is considered suspicious in origin, Harper said. It remains under investigation.
