Fremont College Student Honored For Good Works

FREMONT, CA — Fremont native and St. Edward’s University forward Haley Joly was named to the 2017 Allstate WBCA Good Works Team earlier this year.

She's one of just ten selected for the off-the-court honor in college basketball. The honorees were selected for their distinguished community service.

Joly 's community service accomplishments include:

• Working with the Make-A-Wish foundation to help a young child’s wish come true
• Creating a mentorship program with Cowan Elementary School
• Organizing community services events at the Capital Area Food Bank and Legacy Ranch
• Serving as secretary of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

The members of the Allstate WBCA Good Works Team were recognized during the 2017 WBCA Convention and at the 2017 NCAA Women’s Final Four.

In its fifth year, the Allstate WBCA Good Works Team is comprised of 10 award recipients – five from NCAA Division I and five from NCAA Divisions II, III and the NAIA.
