Fremont Firefighters Help Douse Homeless Encampment Blaze: Video
The fire in Union City burned vegetation and vehicles in a hotel parking lot.
UNION CITY, CA — A homeless encampment fire in Union City spread to surrounding vegetation and the parking lot at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, where some vehicles were burned, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.
Firefighters and two fire engines from Fremont joined the battle to keep the fire from spreading further.
No injuries were reported.
