Fremont Leads Nation In Spending On Coffee: Report

Latte, iced or extra whip - Fremont residents love their coffee!

FREMONT, CA — Fremont residents don't skip many opportunities for a jolt of java, according to a new study released by Wallet Hub, which places Fremont in the number one spot nationwide for annual household spending on coffee. The tab: $186.85. That's three times higher than in Cleveland, the city with the lowest at $63.06.

The study looked at other factors in coffee consumption including Google searches for coffee, number of available coffee shops and how many homes have their own coffee makers. When stats from all of the categories are crunched, Fremont comes in 20th on the list of Best Coffee Cities in America.

Several other California cities are above us. Can you guess number one? Seattle, the founding home of Starbucks? San Francisco, a delight for the palette? Nope - New York.
