Fremont Residents: Salvage Historic Materials From Former Centerville Fire Station

Due to current "Shelter in Place" order because of COVID-19, we cannot let people visit the fire station at this time

Starting May 26, 2020, SiliconSage Builders, owner of the fire station building and property located at 37412 Fremont Boulevard in the Centerville Community Plan Area, will offer salvageable materials in the fire house, including materials that may be deemed as historic, at no cost to the public for a period of 30 days, from May 26, 2020 through June 25, 2020. Parties who enter the fire house to remove materials must bring their own tools or equipment and proceed at their own risk.

The offer to donate salvageable materials is in fulfillment of a Mitigation Measure of SiliconSage Builder’s mixed use project that was approved by the City Council on March 19, 2019 (see Conditions of Approval B-4 (3a, and 3b) of the SiliconSage Centerville Mixed-Use Project

Due to current “Shelter in Place” order because of COVID-19, we cannot let people visit the fire station at this time. Instead, you can use the link to see the pictures of salvageable materials. If you are interested in any of them, please reach out to SiliconSage Builders. Once the Shelter-in-Place Order is lifted, you will be able to visit the fire station and take the material. Salvageable material will be given on the first-come, first-served basis.

The approved project includes demolishing existing buildings on an approximate 4.5 acre site to construct a multi-story building of 93 rental apartment units, including ten affordable rental housing units, over 26,000 square feet of retail ground floor space in a mixed-use building along Fremont Boulevard, and 72 residential townhouse units at the rear of the mixed-use building along Jason Way.
