Fremont Parks Open This Weekend But Group Gathering, Facility Closures, Restrictions Remain In Place
30% of the public parking spaces at Central Park will be closed to reduce the drive-up traffic to the park and support social distancing.

Fremont parks are open Labor Day Weekend; however, park amenities including picnic tables, barbecues and play structures remain closed in accordance with Alameda County’s Shelter-in-Place Order. The Fremont community is encouraged to continue using outdoor spaces for health and fitness and we kindly ask that all park visitors follow Shelter-in-Place and posted park rules and help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Central Park Parking Limited
30% of the public parking spaces at Central Park will be closed to reduce the drive-up traffic to the park and support social distancing. The Central Park parking lots behind Aqua Adventure Waterpark, above the Police Department/Library (off Civic Dr.) and the behind the Central Park Tennis Center will be closed. Residents are encouraged to walk, bike, or jog to your neighborhood park and stay local. View the map.
As a reminder the following rules remain in place:

- Face coverings are required outdoors if you are within 30 feet of a person living outside your residence.
- Social distancing of 6-feet is required.
- Group gatherings are restricted and picnic tables and barbeques at all parks remain closed.
- Community Centers, play structures, sport courts and drinking fountains remain closed.
- The Central Park Skate Park and Dog Park are open but all social distance guidelines apply.
- Tennis Courts are open – guidelines are posted at the courts.
- Other sports or activities that include the use of shared equipment or physical contact between participants remains restricted with any persons living outside your residence. *
- Please do not enter a closed area or facility.

- There is an exception for Youth Activity Bubbles as outlined in the 8/28/2020 Alameda County Public Health Order.
