Fremont Police Arrest Suspects Outside Supermarket
Police were called because of suspected shoplifting, but found these suspects instead.

FREMONT, CA — Two suspects were arrested last week in Fremont after they were found to be in possession of a controlled substance, police said.
According to police, two officers were sent to the Lucky store at Charter Square located at 34101 Fremont Blvd. to investigate a report of two shoplifters.
At the scene, one of the officers located a vehicle parked outside the store and noticed two males inside who appeared to be using drugs. Upon closer inspection, the officer noticed one of the suspects had a white powder on his upper lip, police said.

When the suspects noticed the officer, they began reaching between the vehicle's seats and refused to obey the officer's orders. Additional officers arrived, and the two suspects were eventually removed from the vehicle, police said.
According to police, the suspects each had a bag containing cocaine and were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Neither suspect was involved with the original shoplifting report.
