Fremont Police Investigate Fatal Collision

A man died after he was possibly struck by a vehicle in Fremont.

FREMONT, CA — Fremont police were investigating a collision that killed a pedestrian Saturday night. The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with officers, police said.

Police received a report of the collision at 10:28 p.m. along Mission Boulevard and Ondina Drive, where officers found the man lying in the street, unresponsive.

Officers attempted life saving measures until Fremont Fire arrived on scene. But the pedestrian died of his injuries and was pronounced dead at 10:38 p.m. by fire officials.

"At this point drugs and alcohol are not believed to be involved, but further investigation is needed," police said.

The accident marks the 4th fatal collision in Fremont this year.
