Fremont's Aqua Adventure Waterpark Closed For 2020
Swimming lessons will be considered as health department restrictions are eased—Some tennis courts are open, and the skate park is open.

Today’s City of Fremont update covers the following recreation and parks facilities: Aqua Adventure Waterpark, tennis courts, the Skate Park at Central Park, as well as a request for artist proposals for Dusterberry Neighborhood Park.
Aqua Adventure Waterpark
Aqua Adventure Waterpark will not be opening for the 2020 season. Season Pass holders will be offered (2) 2021 Single Day Tickets per pass as an incentive to transfer their Season Pass to 2021. Refunds will be provided for those choosing not to transfer their Season Pass. Season Pass Holders will be contacted via email over the next 2-weeks. Aqua Swim Camp, swimming lessons and other programs will be considered as Alameda County Public Health Department restrictions are eased. Part-time seasonal staff that was hired to work at Aqua Adventure has been offered the opportunity to be reassigned to other City of Fremont Recreation Services program areas. Aqua Adventure has become a family favorite over the last 10 years and summer will not be the same without it!

Tennis
The City of Fremont tennis courts are open at the following Community Parks: Mission San Jose, Niles, Warm Springs, Frank Fisher, Centerville, and Sylvester P. Harvey. The center nets will be raised over the next week at these courts to allow for additional use. All posted guidelines must be followed and social distancing of 6 feet must be maintained at all times, as well as face coverings are required. The Fremont Tennis Center at Central Park will not open until Monday July 6, 2020 to allow time for facility modifications and preparation for Summer Camps.
Skate Park
The City of Fremont Skate Park at Central Park is now open. All posted guidelines must be followed and social distancing of 6 feet must be maintained at all times, as well as face coverings are required.

Call for Artists: Dusterberry Neighborhood Park
Calling all artists! The City of Fremont is seeking artist proposals for the commission of a contemporary, innovative, and permanent public art installation for the new park planned in Fremont, Dusterberry Neighborhood Park. Proposals are due June 30, 2020. Interested artists can apply on this website.
