Fremont Shooting Leaves 1 Hurt

Police took one person into custody and recovered a gun.

FREMONT, CA — Police responded to a shooting on Martha Avenue on Wednesday evening, according to the Fremont Police Department.

At around 5 p.m., police responded to a victim who was reportedly shot in the leg before the suspect fled the scene. Within minutes, the victim received care for non-life threatening injuries, with the expectation to make a full recovery.

Police located a suspect with a firearm in the vicinity shortly after. The suspect was being questioned as of 7:26 p.m.
