Fremont, Union City Peace Officers Negotiate With Suspect

FREMONT, CA – Peace Officers from Union City and Fremont successfully negotiated with a person who had barricaded himself in a vehicle over the weekend, eventually taking him into custody.

According to Fremont Police, the person was in a vehicle in the area of Crosspointe Common and Murfield Terrace.

Officers advised residents in the area to stay indoors as a precautionary measure.

The situation was the result of an incident that began in Union City, and it ended around 11 p.m. when Fremont Police SWAT members encouraged the man to get out of his vehicle.

He was taken into custody by Union City Police.
