FREMONT, CA — Are you ready for improvements on Fremont Boulevard? The city will use sensors and other technology on the stretch of road between Paseo Padre Parkway and Cushing Parkway.

The improvements include traffic signal modernization, which was identified by the community as a top priority in the city’s newly adopted Mobility Action Plan.

Also in the works are innovations to enhance safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers, including smart sensors to ensure adequate crossing times at intersections and signal priority for transit and emergency vehicles.
